When you feel like you are too much to handle, know this, God can handle your mess and  the right man will love you through it. :)

My life may not be going the way I planned it, but it is going the way He planned it. Since the Lord has proved again and again that His way is better than mine I need to allow the failures I have to face now as hope for something better that God has planned for me. Trust can be hard, but life without following Christ’s plan is worse. So I am going to give it all to Him and pray that He will open doors that lead to where He wants me to be.

I have a solid set of guy friends and everyone always asks why I am single. Captivating has given me the best way to answer that: Not every great man is yours, but it does show you there are good men of God out there, and someone is worthy of you. :)

You may be 21. You may be free to drink, but is it worth it? Do you realize that as a drunken person, you lose all credibility as a Christian to non-believers. You can’t lead the lost like that! Giving into drinking will take you away from what you are called to do here on earth…be used by God! I don’t know about you, but I am not going to give that ability up. :)

It is difficult to realize the length to which Christ loved us, because God is beyond our comprehension. That is why I love that we are able to see who He is through His people. Paul shows the love of God in Romans 9:1-3 “I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience confirms it through the Holy Spirit— I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people…” Paul was not treated well by those people, in fact they hated him. You would think that Paul would strive for justice, but instead he thrives for grace. He is saying that he would rather have the salvation of his people, over his own salvation. What a statement! Jesus did the same thing. He gave up his ability to be with His Father in order to take on your sins. He died a death that caused Him to stress to the point of sweating blood, but that didn’t stop Him! He loved us far too great! & He wants us to love others the same way that He does. May grace and love abound where justice and hate are present.

These always make me tear up because I realize that those around me have been through a lot and those I do not know need freedom even if they seem tough.

Christians are failing at discernment. In Matthew 24 it says do not be deceived! We were warned of that very thing! As a people getting closer to (or in) the end times we need to get our head into the Bible. When pastors try to interpret the Word and preach it on Sunday, we need to dig into the Bible as well and make sure what they are saying is correct. Many people sit in service and hear what they want to hear without questioning it, we must be better than that!

As a woman we are called to be arousing, not dominating or desolate. Being a woman of domination does not allow men to be courageous and fight for you. Being a woman of desolation means that you care nothing for yourself and therefore settle for someone that is not good enough for you. God wants us to submit to a husband that we trust will submit to God.
